In short: A full-day trip from Medellín to Hacienda Nápoles in Puerto Triunfo (Magdalena Medio), with transport, breakfast, a guide and a stop in the “Colombian Santorini” village. Go private with your group or join a shared departure.

About this tour

Hacienda Nápoles sits in the warm lowlands of the Magdalena Medio, east of Medellín. The former estate of Pablo Escobar is today a conservation and theme park, and its Memorial Museum tells the story the country chooses not to repeat. It is one of the most visited family outings from Medellín, and it makes a long, easy day with plenty of variety.

Inside the park you tour by vehicle at your own pace: the African savanna zoo, the Africa Museum, Jurassic Adventure, the hippo park, the wildlife sanctuary, the butterfly house, the reptile and bird worlds, and the Kamaria and Kaliwa ecological trails. With the Safari pass you also get the water world: the Dinos park (Acuasaurus and Octopus) and the Río Salvaje park with the Victoria and Cobras waterfalls. The wet zones can be used once; the dry attractions as many times as you like. The Pangea attraction is not included.

On the road we stop at an aldea nicknamed the Colombian Santorini for its blue-and-white houses and landscapes, and private groups can add an optional boat ride on the Magdalena River, subject to availability.
