About this package

Venture along Los Kilómetros, the rainforest corridor outside Leticia, and meet the cosmogony of the Murui-Huitoto people. At night, sleep in a treehouse with the chance to hear and see nocturnal wildlife in complete safety.

The journey continues by boat on the Amazon River to the Ticuna community of Mocagua, where you share their knowledge and their present-day relationship with the forest. Walk to the Maikuchiga Foundation and have lunch with an indigenous family, tasting the produce of the chagra (farm plot) and the river.

In Puerto Nariño you visit the Natütama Interpretation Center and the Tarapoto Lakes, where you can spot pink and grey river dolphins. An optional canopy walk or zipline is available for an extra fee at the Marasha or Tanimboca reserve.

Questions

What makes this plan different?

It combines a treehouse night in Los Kilómetros with community time in Mocagua and the Tarapoto Lakes, so you cover forest, river culture and wildlife in five days.

Are flights included?

No. Flights Bogotá – Leticia – Bogotá and the Leticia entry tax (COP 50,000 per person, paid in cash at the airport) are not included. For the smoothest schedule, take a morning flight into Leticia and, if your last night is in Puerto Nariño or Mocagua, a return flight after 11:40 a.m.

Can children join this plan?

Yes. Children aged 3 to 10 pay 80% of the adult rate (based on 2 adults). From age 11 the adult rate applies. Ask us for a family quote.

How do I pay and when?

We send a quote and a secure Bold payment link. In low season the full payment is due 1 month before the trip; in high season, 2 months before. Bookings made within 72 hours of departure must be paid immediately to be confirmed.
