About this package

Ancestrally, the Amazon was home to many peoples, including the Tikuna, Murui, Cocama, Yagua and Bora, each with defined territories and a commitment to protecting the ecosystem. This program brings you closer to their knowledge today in the Amazon Trapezium.

In Leticia you visit an ancestral maloca, where a taita (elder) shares his cosmogony. In Mocagua you taste Amazonian flavors and support the conservation of the woolly monkey. In San Martín de Amacayacu you learn about medicinal plants and the art of Tikuna ceramics.

In Puerto Nariño you see the work of the Natütama Foundation and visit the Tarapoto Lakes to watch pink dolphins. You finish with a hands-on woodcarving workshop.

Questions

Is this plan about culture or nature?

Both. Most of the days are spent with indigenous communities and conservation projects, inside one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth.

Are flights included?

No. Flights Bogotá – Leticia – Bogotá and the Leticia entry tax (COP 50,000 per person, paid in cash at the airport) are not included. For the smoothest schedule, take a morning flight into Leticia and, if your last night is in Puerto Nariño or Mocagua, a return flight after 11:40 a.m.

Can children join this plan?

Yes. Children aged 3 to 10 pay 80% of the adult rate (based on 2 adults). From age 11 the adult rate applies. Ask us for a family quote.

How do I pay and when?

We send a quote and a secure Bold payment link. In low season the full payment is due 1 month before the trip; in high season, 2 months before. Bookings made within 72 hours of departure must be paid immediately to be confirmed.
